yes Tristan,  thats me. this is at my factory in henderson where i have the table and heaps of terrain, the players were, me  and Bruce, against Vebjorn and James (Eisenhorn),
7000pts a side, i used every chaos model i had (marine and daemon) and the nids matched it. was going well until the genestealers turned up, arriving from any terrain piece!!! no where to hide, which is how it would really be. small consolation.

thought there would be some questions, but wasnt on my comp when i posted the pics.
so...
the gaint 'slug' brown thingy is a tyranid transport vehicle from imperial armour (the first one from years ago), carries ten wounds, but we used it as another barbed hierodule.

my Great Daemonette (the 100ft tall chick) died to massed bio-gunfire, but only because it owned the heirodule at the club the week before and the nid players were scared of it lol.

the nids had two flying hive tyrants, two normal tyrants with gaurd, 50+ genestealers, two hierodules and like a hundred gaunts, looked awesome running across the table.

BUT I KILLED OLD ONE EYE (who was being used as old one eye to) well my flying lord and flying daemon prince did, a small victory i know..  but he didnt get back up!

this was my first game off apocalypse and i loved it, even if i only had two plague marines left at the end. will hopefully be organising more soonish and will let everyone know in case any one wants to join in..

Definately advertise the next time you are going to do an Apoc game. I for one would be keen to get me some. Unfortunately I only have around 2k of Tau, but I got a butt-load of Chaos

with this much interest i might have to just organise a game and moderate, (let me use all that DM and GM practice ive had  ). i will put up a post and let everyone know whats happening and when, it will probably be end of july judging by my schedule.
any one got the massive templates?  i can make them but you know if some ones got 'em.

i myself am in awe of your rockin' blue monliths 

luke mentioned you had a decent apoc sized force, got over 6000pts myself. 

but going to be working on my tyranids for now and get them up to scratch

Da cheating bugz got some unfair formations!!!  Genestealer infestation is a nightmare on that board!!!!  Brave chaos minions dying like flies  :'( :'(

I am getting my 6000 points Necron and Tau forces sorted out!

i know the bugs all to well. all the blue and bone coloured bugs on the board... I painted for my friend, about 3000pts worth.

the blue moniliths are tyranid drop pod/landing craft type things.

yeah we talked about that genestealer formation before the game, things like making only the sewers and manholes 'terrain' for infestation purposes. i knew they would take this formation but i just love making terrain. in the end we decided to just use the rules and table as it was. It was very much what you would expect from this table/game, chaos were winning til turn 3 then bugsville. and i think i did well to last till turn 6.

never had so much fun losing a game of warhammer
