Yeah dude that 'fex is looking bloody nice, loving the bone cannon styling.

The consistency throughout the whole army is spot on as well, looking all very cohesive.

Let me know when your knee is better will have to sort out another match now I have my battle cry list pretty much sorted I'm sure you've been tweaking things as well, might as well get in practice against some SM army.

patients is something i got over time and with the crap job i do i have to be, i always get the fealing so dam i have 50 dudes left to do, but its just take it a step at a time, aslong as you have something to play with any other armys are just extras. I goal for 1 army a year. After my nids and blood angels i am going back over my rogue trader marines with a new paint job and some new models if i can find them. And that will be me i think. 4 armys for 40k, them i will start up my epic again as i have 4 epic armys to paint to.

It's true man, I have faced these guys and they really give you that impending doom feeling when all the carnifexes start closing in. The gun fex's are a really win idea and done right too. I don't like the normal ones now

hay dave, i still cant stop looking at that carny very nice, making me want to go buy my one and paint one, but i am still very puzzled on how i am going to do it with the colors i have.

I can keep it the same as my stealer s and paint the whole body blue but the face and skin bits on his arms and then use my type of highlight for the body and your style of highlight for the carapace. Or go wired and do the carapace in purple and body blue.

And ideas on what you would do.

i guess you could go all dark blue with just the head and joints purple to match the space hulk theme, but it does seem the fex and stealer are constructed differently making this easier to do with the new stealers and hard for all the other models available to nids

maybe only dark blue on the carapace plates, and the rest of the body and limbs purple?  with lighter purples on the head and joints?

hive tyrant, guard and genestealers - only need to paint up 4 to finish off my battlecry list, but i may as well do all twelve.

then there's the lictors , ravenors, 6 more warriors, a carnifex and a box of gaunts.  surely that'll be enough to cover my bases for whatever changes the new dex will bring.

excluding any awesomeness in the form of trygons and such so gotta get me one of those

Hahaha do you have your xbox hooked up to live? I've been cranking the living crap out of borderlands lately as well, painting going at a crawling pace.

I also think Planet strike and a few towers / defence lines are going to be in my xmas basket this year too I'll be keen for a game.

Also i think you list is way stronger than mine from the looks of it. I think i failed with me moving out of my box with this army. Thats why i have gone back to marines.

cheers man - i really don't think you list is that weak at all though.  there's actually very little that would need to be changed with it, maybe the only thing would be to get mycetic spores for your doom and carnifexes.  and venomthropes to boost all your hormagaunts would help too. 

otherwise your synapse net is decent, you got a good amount of infiltrators and deepstrikers that will put dangerous units right into the face of your opponent. if you play to those strengths i can imagine you'd do well this weekend.
