Also with the doom does that give synapse to or only the zones

Nicely done man, those new models are looking damn fine, that list is strong and I think you'll do quite well.
You should stick with it Laz, I think you need to play more games and then tighten screws where you feel it is lacking.

well it could be stronger, but i don't have the time to paint up 20 gargoyles and model a parasite of moretex :< but thanks Moe, i really want to give this tournie a fair hack and see if i can place in the top quarter.
and Laz, the Doom doesn't have synapse, just the regular zoans. but you have your warriors and tyrant there have synapse and your trygon can be upgraded to a prime.
as for the venomthrope, its a weak unit but grants so many buffs to surrounding units. so; any unit within 6" gets a 5+ cover save and defensive grenades. any enemy unit wishing to charge these units have to make a dangerous terrain test for each model in the unit. and this is keeping in mind that its ruling only clarifies a unit within 6" - so you can have one model in range, and then string out the rest of the unit as far away as coherency allows.
I'm moving mine with my MCs so they get to claim the cover save, which has saved them from suffering wounds in the games i've played with him.
great unit, i just wish i had the cash and time to get another one for my army, one by itself is a little vulnerable.

the warriors are not in my list i just had them so i painted them. They where in the list before the new dex, I am locked on points the only way i can change things is to drop stuff.
I see the army as being done and dont want to change it, this is my 4th try and nids and was the first army i manged to finish so not keen to do much. It will be more me not knowing how to use the right and not playing often, they armys i have played have all been very strong armys.

ah, so only the tyrant has synapse then. could be tricky, but not impossible. especially seeing they should be running forward together en masse.

not if they get broken
to me that's the more important thing about synpase, and i haven't had to worry about morale until now. definitely makes the game more interesting, actually having the Ld stat have an actual effect on your game so i personally welcome it. but a lot of army is rocking Ld 6
but yeah, i've had my genestealers break to shooting and hormagants get ground down in assault and chased off. it could potentially wreck with your game plan

i surely must be getting close to over 3grands worth of points. haven't bothered adding it up.
thought i'd give myself a rest from painting my nids, seeing i only have a handful of models left to go, but i'm getting some ideas for making mycetic spores...
and dammit i want a malanthrope to make a Doom of Malantai

i'm do going to bring one, though it may mean leaving deathleaper at home, or the venomthrope.
coupled with deathleaper, that guy is going to have fun sapping Daemon Princes of their wounds.

ah jesus, i dunno man. Laz has a hard enough time getting in casual games from the sounds of things, and i'm spent after BC. will be keen to rock an apoc game at some point in the future if Laz is keen, but i dunno when either of us would be available/ready.
as for a regular game maybe would you be keen to hit it some time in the next month?

Would be keen to get an actual Apocalypse game sorted in the future with the bugs! It's usually an un-winnable game for the opponent! So a good chanllenge!

well most people will have seen the painted pod so i won't bother with those photos.
but now i got myself working on some hive guard. but not just any old hive guard; EL CHEAPO hive guard, for gamers on a budget-
kinda goofy looking, but i reckon they'll do the trick. just made from the tyranid warriors kit, a ripper for the head and a piece of carnifex carapace for the top of the armour.
don't quite have enough for a third, so if anyone has a spare carnifex carapace and some rending claws, that'd be mint. and maybe a warrior venom cannon, though i've got one that can be salvaged
