It looks like Big Nick, Nick and Dave were the only Orks to make it, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Capt Soft coming through as one might expect.
Very credible performance Dave, you can't have lost too many games, and charming with it 
Interestingly the top tier armies were all missing for the top of the table, and the Battle points were unremarkable (max was 31.6/40)

30% Comp.....which may have been too high. However if it was dropped to 50/25/25 few of the results would have changed markedly.

Dave Stent beat me in our grudge match (12-8) and then ran a series of tight results. The Daemon player (who scored 8/30) for comp had 71/80 points going into the last round having beaten the two Nicks and Jack.

As per WAU, a few things came out. Comp is probably better capped at 25%, tough tier armies were more likely to attract negatives from the panel, Lizardmen are generally felt to be in too generous a tier.

For the record, the Daemon army scoring 8 was:

2x HoT, Master of Sorcery, other toys
1x HoN on Palaquin + Toys
1x HoK on Jugger, Firestorm and Obsidian

2x 11 Horrors
1x 12 Horrors, Banner of Sundering
1x 16 Plaguebearers

2x 5 Flesh Hounds
2x 6 Flamers

Will blog games in detail throughout the week. Suffice to say I expected a comp hit and got it (with interest). The theory-hammered requirement of needing a 15-5 win on average (actually 15.2) was proven totally correct - if I'd achieved that I would have podiumed and I suspect a better player would have had more success with the army. Only managed 12.8 average - not nearly enough. 30% comp might just be a bit too much 

Results were 12-8 (Pete); 12-8 VCs (Graveguard Regen Walking Death Unkillable Lord Bunker From Hell = Black Guard hitting the proverbial glass ceiling); 12-8 Anvil Dwarfs (losing the Dreadlord - failed to rally in the last turn, and Black Guard/Dark Riders/Hydra from a last turn super-charged Anvil kind of stymied that game); 9-11 Lizards (big stuffup with the Manticore - still haven't got the hang of using him properly, and lots of fleeing from Lizards with all panic/Terror/Fear checks passed that counted for anything - including one surviving Kroxigor on 1 wound killing off both bolt throwers); 19-1 Dwarfs - ate everything except the Lord/Hammerers while losing the Hydra and 1/2 unit of Dark Riders. Consistent performance but just not good enough to beat the comp thrashing.

Good lesson for me in that regard as I look to move on to VCs.

Nice report Harry, and well done. The good thing about Comp Hammer is that diverse lists come out to play, and more often than not do well in game play too.

You could quite reasonably have taken a dragon lord (dropped a unit of crossbows to make up the points). If you are going to go for it you may as well go the whole hog. Appart from that it pushes all of the buttons.
