Thanks on getting me into P3 paints fella. I got the rest of my maelstrom bag and the paints rock in blending dry brushing the lot. Only thing is the GW metallics are way brighter.

Nice work on the models, but yup you need a new cam bro. More fantasy stuff coming up?

I only pimp the best product Grin.

I do need a new Cam, its on the long list of things I need ATM unfortunately.

No WFB stuff has arrived yet unfortunately, even if it had I'm not really in the groove for WFB this week, I'm feeling the Retribution in a big way unfortunately I don't have any on table to paint  Tongue.

I did find a new brand of Spray Gloss this morning though so I'll be putting that through the paces today.

Fantasy was painted last night, put some paint down on my Treb and almost finished the crew. Its a strange feeling to speed paint after taking my time on WM models for so long.

No Pix today unfortunately though.

Must remember to hassle Maelstrom about my Brettonians...

Had a day off due to a death in the family so I spent some time zen-assembling my new Brettonians and finishing the painting of the Treb and crew. Still needs basing completion but pix:

Pix are horrible but hopefully the basing will be done before sunday and I'll bring it in.

M@A unit w/ filler: (filler still needs leaves but those go on after painting tree trunk)

Trees tend to be rooted into the ground and very difficult to move while still in a rooted-in-the-ground state.

Also, it might be easier if you put the tree in the second and third ranks rather than the third and fourth rank so you can remove more casualties before having to deal with the tree.

Painted models look awesome as always although since you're a (semi)professional painter, it's probably a job requirement.

Thanks, the tree will make sense once more than a unit and a half is done. They're moving around the tree marching through the edges of a forest.

Thanks, they're kinda speedpainted but they look passable given I've got a bajillion models to do. The tree is 2x2 so after two guys die I have the option of removing the tree and the problem dissapears Grin

The mist has just risen from the towering Mountains of Morning in the east of Mornea. Slowly, the blanket of fog crawls down the Delta of the Ciar River. It slowly drags its festering cloak of humidity over muddy swamps, vegetation and ancient blackened stone walls raised by men in these inhospitable lands.  The mist rolls over the peat-bogs and covers a sad city whose highest towers are all that dare rise above the veil.

The city is vast and sinister; and the wind wails across its desolate walls. The dark figure of Kerkastel, the capital city of the Kingdom of Avalon gradually emerges from the haze. From this fear-inspiring city, Lady Eleanor of the Thousand Masks rules with undisputed authority over her people and lords, the Seven Barons of Avalon.

But, while the bodies of the Avalonians belongs to their queen, their souls belong to the Avalonian church. In his role as supreme guide of the Avalonian faith, the Cardinal Augustus inspires respect and fear in the entire kingdom, from peasants to noblemen.

He is the guardian of a secret that links Avalon to a very special being: the Beathacrann. It is a unique tree of formidable size, imbued with a will of its own, whose branches and roots extend over impossible distances in every direction.

Following a dark pact that was made with the tree during the creation of Avalon, the Church of Avalon can now provide its followers with sinister gifts of incredible power.

But while the church can reward its most deserving followers, it can also punish those who stray from its teachings. For these madmen, the quick death offered by one of the three Templar orders is a godsend compared to the eternal torment that awaits them if they are offered to the tender care of the Beathacrann...

The Templars are feared and respected throughout Avalon and are blessed by the Beathacrann.  Like the most important nobles and renowned  warriors, each of them has received a seed of the Beathacrann and become a host of the Tree of Life.

This seed develops by feeding on the fluids of the host and grows into a powerful vegetable symbiotic parasite. When the hosts die, their bodies are brought back to the Beathacrann to nurture it as they decay - maintaining its power and honoring the centuries-old pact that links Avalon to the fate of the Tree.

Thats the peice of fluff they're based on, a forest Duchy gone feral and faye where worship of the Lady has turned into worshiping a Giant Tree. Psycho-Wood-Brettonians if you will.
