Soft as. Nothing that looks obnoxious, or cliched. For HE it is easly on par (3). In general I can't see why you wouldn't be getting a 4 out of 5. That is a 5 is like a full on all Gobbo army or similar.

BSB is nifty but hardly cheap. Give him a lance though. Ideal opportunity to put him on an unbarded mount.

Why don't you give your lord that bolt thrower bow thingy? It is kind of in the WE theme, although the model you have in mind probably doesn't have one.

I thought about using reaver bow, but i really want to use the Korhil model...

well, the reasons are:
firstly, the only complete armies i currently have are daemons, dwarf and wood elves...
but after reading through a few player packs, from last year guardcon, battlecry, fluffycon, natcon to tin soldier.. I found out that ppl just hate daemon so much, it really doesn't matter if u take a soft daemon list or a hard daemon list, being up in tier 1, they just get penalize so much for army comp and  sport (since no one wanna face them again) it is just too hard to do well with daemon in any tourenment nowaday.

from Josh's battle report, he faced Alistair Dennison's daemon, which i personally believe it is a soft daemon army, but he only gets 20/60 for army comp. The other 2 daemon players also get very low army comp.

Secondly, this also apply to wood elves, with the amount of shoot, tree hugging, skrmishers and hit and run. ppl just don't like to play against it, no matter how u build it. Unless u totally fluff  it up with ranks and files (etheral guards) and limited shooting and skrmishers...
Thirdly, dwarf are great, but they just can't win games, they just don't lose them.

So, in conclusion, I believe the armies which have the best chance to win tourenment are armies in the mid tier.

So i picked high elves.

Your list looks nice and squishy Simon, +2 on tiered system from me. I totally agree with your analysis on current tournament armies that can do well. The only army that is doing really well at the moment is Dark Elves as I firmly believe they've flown under the radar a bit with the tiered system.

I would never sports hit someone for their army, or play style. I do look suspiciously on Demon and Dark Elf armies in particular because they can very easily become over the top, but those are comp issues alone. Good on you for trying something different too. It's a great feeling to finish a tournament and know that your final placement is always going to go up because of comp.

I love the concept - fantastic idea for a High Elf army and one that is well-promoted by the list and choices.
