My greatest moment... second only to killing Philfy's Star Dragon with The Curse.

Gotta smile about something after getting my ass on a plate in both games!  Wink

A silly extra rule that makes Tomb Kings more broken than they already are Grin Kill the Prince or King and take a leadership test. Fail = lose wounds you failed by or die or something.

So the Treeman Ancient rocks on up, splatters the King, fails a test and kicks the bucket.

what a brutal day.  First game, miscast twice on 2PD spells.  Second game, did that again.  Total miscasts over three games = 7  Total irresistable force = 2  Dragon princes charge a unit of ghouls and come away with two hits.  It's been a fun ride, hoping for lady averages to come and set the luck balance right for sunday.

I call it the "gay" curse, u kill my king/prince, now u must take a Ld test or take D6 wounds, and cannot be saved in any way (ward, reg, armor, nothing)

how gay is that?

but I have to say, it worked very well for me today against the demon, (get pass their ward and reg is just awesome)

anyway, played against 2 demons today, hopefully, i won't face another demon tomorrow. I just had enough of them.

2 Deamons and 1 Dark Elves for my first 3 games, including Ant and Vod... not the easiest way to start a tournament. My score card reflects this. Here's hoping for a walk in the park day 2!

Well... I won the battle but lost the war.

Bragging rights for beating Phil in our grudge match... only to have my vote for favourite player go to him, which edged him one place in front of me in the overall placings  Roll Eyes  Grin

However. I did do much better than I expected. I had 6 really good games against great opponents, I learnt heaps (especially against Simon... thanks  Wink) and have been filled with an enthusiasm to play WHFB a lot more.

Thanks Dave et al again

Cheers

You're welcome. Thanks for setting the bar so high Hagen - you're an inspiration. Hope to see you up here more; top player (personality, not ability...).

It was an awesome tourney, 6 hard as games against 6 very skilled players..

especially my 4th game against John matthew's ogre and 3rd game against Dave's high elf which i thought i really could just walk over their armies with the tomb king but was outplayed by them...   I learnt heaps, especially against John..

(before i thought Ogre is crap, but he really made me change my mind about that!)

anyway, thanks for letting me borrow your tomb king, Dave. reminded my good old days.. made me want to re-start my tomb king one more time!

too bad, u r going back to UK, otherwise I will definitely grudge match you!

I hope John is going to play in GuardCon becuase i'm going to grudge match him with my Gobotonnia!!

Great tourney Dave. Well done! Too many highlights to mention all of them. Even when I got a drubbing I had good games.

I think the comp system was an incremental improvement over previous efforts. The next version will prehaps organise the draw on unmodified battle points rather than total points. As a result of the draw I spoilt Chris's Sunday morning  Cheesy

Hi Guys,

You can get the Players Pack here http://thefieldsofblood.blogspot.com/2009/05/horned-rat-ii-warhammer-fantasy.html

There are a couple of local accommodation options, the best value of which is probably this one.

http://www.downtownbackpackers.co.nz/rooms-and-rates/

Airport bus takes you to the door. Train across road takes you to the door of the venue.

I'd offer to put people up but I already have 3 staying at my place.
