I put a chocolate milkshake on lego yoda turning optimus prime into a pile of scrap. I mean come on, its Yoda.

Antony, in the other battles before the one vs. Simons daemons, did you also use ancient power? I generally use it when things only get really desperate.

Playing against a Greater Demon army I assumed that things were desparate from the start. As it turned out they only were because I blew my Anvil up. In other games I wasn't really ever in a desparate situation so doing a big hit was just for fun to nab a few extra points.

Derick and I played our Cheesy game on the weekend. Having already had a warm up game a few weeks ago with our cheesy armies where I won well, I was conifident that if if I followed the last game plan, things would also go well. At least that was my plan, but Derick had other ideas.

A Gateway in turn one left my Rune Lord on one wound and both Anvil guards dead.
An Anvil charge in turn three on the Demon Prince failed because of a failed fear check. And an Anvil charge on the Demon Prince in turn four failed because of a failed terror check 
But you gotta laugh (or start playing 40K)

Needless to say the Runelord eventually gave up his last wound. Quangmires of Nurgle were also pretty effective against dwarf infantry and characters (fail and I test and then pass an armour save to be removed from play - effects a whole unit).

Quangmire must be the chinese version of Quagmire.
Is you fail an initiative test you do an armour save roll. If you pass the armour save then your Armour drags you down into the bog. Model is removed from play.
Dwarf Iniative 2 Armour save 3 - This accounted for 2 of Antony's characters
