Runefang II WHFB Tournament

Runefang II will be held this year on the weekend of 16/17 May at the Khandallah Scout Hall in Khandallah, Wellington

The event will be organized by Hagen Kerr (on behalf of DBM Enterprises) and he will also act as Umpire.

The aim of Runefang is to encourage participation in the Warhammer hobby. To that end, the Battle/Comp/Sports components have been set to encourage new or rookie players, as well as encourage more seasoned Warhammer veterans to field units they may not normally use.

Special Characters may not be used, however it is perfectly reasonable for you to use the model to portray a normal Lord/Hero of that type.

While it is preferred, it is not mandatory that armies are painted.

Details are as follows:

Points: 2250 points

Armies: All current Army Books up to/including Lizardmen. Dogs of War and Chaos Dwarves will use relevant pdfs. No BotB lists, Lustria or Storm of Chaos

Rounds: Five Rounds (3 Saturday, 2 Sunday). Event including Prizegiving finished by 4pm Sunday

Scoring: Gameplay (40%), Composition – by independent panel (30%), Sports - checklist(30%)

Painting: There will be a Beauty Pageant to determine Best Painted Army

Cost: $30 (by March 31), $40 (from 1 April)

Me? Nah, checklist sports and panel comp with no mention of bonus points for player votes means I can't turn on the charm
Keen to go though, and make up for the terrible sports scores I recieved at Runefang 1!! Curse almost no sleep for 4 days and a 50% assignment due the night I got home 

Not to mention I decided to forget the soft score armies and start taking a list with a bit more bite

I believe the first tournament you played after you lost your hat was the NZ Masters. And we know the rest. You may never do well in a tournament again until you find that hat again. I can imagine the phone call:

Nick I.: "Hi, I believe I lost my hat on one of your buses and I need to get it back."
Bus Company: "Sure. When did you lose your hat?"
Nick I.: "9 months ago"
Bus Company: <Hangs up>
