Hello All i have heard alot of people not liking this new one, i dont know why.
I know most have come to love Dow 1, and now the big change to not building waves and waves of marines has come a shock to most. but i found i love DoW2 way more than 1, they have gone back to the days with the old chaos gate where you have set sqwads the level up and get stronger as the game goes on this is way more fun makes the game harder and you just need to be more skilled.
And dam Dow2 looks so dam hot on ultra settings i am happy to say i think dow 1 was a complete mistake and dow2 is where it is at.

Hey Lazarus, i'm big on PC gaming, especially RTS. I can tell you that Dow2 split the community into two camps - the experienced RTS players that wanted a competitive game that would stimulate their skill a bit, and the casual players that didn't want a complicated, confusing game but instead wanted some good team play.
Of course, Relic designed Dow2 to cater for the second group and not the first. I played the beta but didn't buy the retail version! Not because it's a bad game in general but just because it's a terrible game for me in particular. I did a bunch of commentaries during the beta on youtube, of some of my own games and some of other's games, it was fun and they were very popular, but i'm a pretty competitive guy when it comes to rts PC gaming so it really wasn't for me in the long run.
Glad you're enjoying it!

DoW was good but after the 4th on it was just the same old thing over and over, yes you change the model but still all the same. I am a hardout gamer and i play most types of games but i find RTS games that have be released over the past 5 years have been very much the same. Better looks but same old stuff build base make a 1000 men and send to kill other side. Yes it is still in the RTS braket for games but everyone has this idea that a RTS as just a build and kill type game when it does not have to be, RTS means Stratergy game so a game that needs you brain to think of ways to complete things, maybe i am just finding these games to easy now due to the years and years of playing them. I am seeing a few downer with it but i think it is closer to 40k its self. you have limated men to get the job done you can just build 50 dreds and go kill everything.
I give it a thumbs up but give the last 2 Dow and thumbs down

I don't have DoW2, but I see it requires a 3rd party online program steam to run..which I think effectively suxz. Sure you can go to other computers and use your steam account to play it from there or something but honestly how often does the average player do that? They should have done it like Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. Best game I rekon.

incorrect, it does not need a online account to play the single player, only for online gaming, i have also not bought this yet as i am always low on cash due to my trains, but i always have a free copy around to use
if you get my drift.
They have started do the whole online account thing like steam what is a sweet program to buy cheap games though, to build up a gaming network and also so they can try and stop pirets like me but they always fail, i find it just pisses everyone off steam and windows live and so on. But the days when battlenet have gone, the companys who make the game dont want to spend cash on servers any more and pass it onto others like steam.
