Hi folks,

Something popped up on another mailing list today and I thought I would post it here for some discussion.

Every year there is a NatCon. It happens over Easter. 2009 is in Hamilton.

They are looking for a club to raise their hands to organise the 2010 event.

I thought maybe sometime in the future we might be willing to run it.

I would need a lot of help organising it, so I thought I'd post the idea here and let it mull for a while so people can have a think.

What do people think?

Regards,
Karen

When next "scheduled" to return to the top half of the North Island (whenever that is) a discussion could be held about a joint bid with the AWC. We can cover off most of the historical stuff.

The current sequence is Central-South-North. Last year it was in Chch, this year in Hamilton.

So next year it is meant to be Lower North Island (last in Hutt Valley in 2007). I understand that Palmerston North may be looking to bid and I suspect that the Hutt Club will also be bidding.

If current convention was followed the next time it was scheduled for the north would be 2012.

However most year's they struggle to get bidders - except when it is in South Island.

This sounds like a plan... cool.

2012 sounds like a plan too. I just saw their posting and it looked like they were having problems finding people to offer... 2012 it is then Smiley If I haven't gone totally insane by then and killed everyone  Tongue
