Hey would anybody be interested in a mordheim campaign using the mighty empires tile set. I have a tile set and I am probably going to be buyin another one
I am going towirte up some rules and anybody who wants to see them Iw ill bring them in this sunday which is the 18th
It will be based around the outskirts of mordheim using the same mordheim rules. I will introducing new building such as a merchants guild which will alow players to get rare things more easily and market which will alow players to get new items cheaper. Any body who plays mordheim and is interested cna play up to a mximum of 8 players if I dont buy another board and 16 if I do.
If anybody has any extra ideas about the rules or anything to do with this campaign then please pst a comment here.
I am also thinking that every should sytarta new warband this will even thigns out alowign everybody to have a good campaign and making the results of it based on players skill not on how much ytou ahve payed wiht your warband.
YOuw ill be allowed to use warbands from mordheimer or the orignal book or any suplements as logne as you ahve the army list wiht you.
Kind regards Luke D

Well... I am pretty keen. The last time Andrew and I ran one, you may recall, it fell to pieces a tad. People couldn't, or didn't, turn up; others even had a bit of a cry, :'( Nick Ng for example. Nick said "Argh! I hate this game! It is like real life! You have to keep track and you can't start over after each game!" Haha. Or words to that effect anyway. So, I think, Luke, that there may end up only being the two of us and Andrew... which doesn't quite work, if you see what I mean. Unless someone else wants to join us...? -Lezle

I wouldn't mind giving it a go, but I can only make it every 2nd week or so.

Cool! Yes, I would imagine it will be an every-second-week affair? Luke, is that what you had in mind?

Or words to that effect anyway. I believe I said "don't like" and also didn't say "Argh!". Otherwise, it's pretty accurate. Also, soon after that, my Warhammer Fantasy was in a playable state so I started playing that instead. I believe I said that Mordheim was something to do until I had my Fantasy army together since I had models which I could play Mordheim with.

Haha! I knew you'd mention not saying "Argh!" So does that mean you'll play in the new campaign? Haha. -LP

So does that mean you'll play in the new campaign?
To quote my earlier post, ...Mordheim was something to do until I had my Fantasy army together...
Since I have my Fantasy army together, I can play that. So no.

I didn't know we'd be playing so soon, so already booked a game with Nic this weekend. Why don't we kick it off Feb 1st? or is that what you meant?

would you guys prefer
either
1. a campaign where we control tiles and defend our territories with special rules. We start with the territories and then we grow our territories.
or 2. A tiled based campaign where our warbands journey round the board claiming special tiles fortifying and claiming tiles as there own. We will be able to defend all claimed tiles. THis will however mean that it will take an hour or two to actually get to a battle if you guys dont want to do that right at the start of the campaign this one will not be your choice. however it will have more special rules and i think it will overall be more fun. THis is my choice as it will actually cimulate a warband traveling through mordheim laying claim to certain strategic locations and happening upon other warbands
or
3. A campaign where we just play games and grow our warbands not worrying about territories. THis allows us to start caming striight away and is incredibly simple to play.

I'm not as seasoned at Mordhiem as Andrew and Lezle so the 3rd option to start "caming striight away" sounds ok to me, but happy to work in with everyone else.
As far as scenarios are concerned, doesn't GW have rules for random scenario selection?
How are we doing for terrain for Mordhiem? do we have enough buildings? I've got a few I can bring along if needed.

i haven't played mordheim for a few years now and are rather (make that very) rusty on the rules but would make an effort to play a campaign if and when you guys can get one started and some one was prepared to take the first few games a little slower while i relearn the rules and remember how to play. i think i still have the printed rulebook around somewhere.. how different from this version is the latest LRB?!?!?!?!

I don't like the sound of the "uitmes" scenarios, are these 40K related? or have you just been reading George's tickets? Derick
