Same guy who is selling the shermans is selling them, or you can by mine for $50 and i will go buy a sherman like i should of in the first place..

I am so keen to start this RC land Raider but i hate waiting on parts

**************Completed***************

Thanks Simon for starting this off.

Here is my complete Land Raider with head lights and shooting guns, i was unable to get the HB turret to move round like Simon's, but was all glued up to fix up once i found out how to do it, Also the HB do shot also but due to the head lights being so bright you cant see.

Over all took be about 20hours to build, will be completing the paint job as soon as i go down to GW and get some paint.

Here is a video about 4.30 Min's long but should make you happy.

Over and out until the land raider Mrk 2 comes.

Should lower the gear ratio - then you won't be accidentally running over people's models on the table.

Land Raiders - competing with Ferrari for the A1 GP. That thing really moves!

It's great Matt - really impressive. I just think there's going to be more tank-shock than you're planning if you put it on the field Smiley

hi just wondering what is the rating of your LEDs? the MCD value? did u put 4 in serial with 100ohms resistance? those LEDS look VERY bright!

the voltage on the circuit for the leds is around 5V? how did u so get so much power for your LEds? did u bridge directly from the battery itself??

Looks great Matt! Those LEDs are rather bright aren't they! Shocked

Tongue Don't listen to Dave, he's a teacher, all he knows is bitching. Tongue Haha.  Cool

I do agree though; it will be way to fast to play with on the table, but if you just wish to run it round the floor or to break other peoples models, its speed will be more than ample!  Cheesy

Great work. What are you going to paint it like? Ultra Marines?

think they are 3500mcd, running direct from the on/off switch, with a 110ohn resistor but i recon go up to 150 maybe 200 as the 110 are getting slightly warm but not that hot to melt the plastic.

All In serial with resistor yes to bright but i new they would be but very good at night driving around, was going to run the off a 2nd switch so i could have them on and off but forgot to but a switch when i was at jaycar so i did not bother.

they are going to be really bright ha ha worse than mine, one resistor per led thats how i like to wire them you could be cheap and run like 4 in parallel to save you resistors but at 60c for 8 why bother.

I always hate having to order stuff and wait i always find it easyer just to drive and pick it up, pluss jaycar 2 mins from my work in taka.

did you see the rear of mine i has the modifyed rear end but i did not need to enlarge it like you did, go down to hobby city and buy some 0.5mm styrene sheets about $7, make the rear end angle down as normal then make the rear end flat and glue over and use some styrene piping to make it look like it should be like that, mine is not 50% painted and i should be able to get some good close up pics soon, i am out of a digy cam so my cheap $20 web cam is hard to get some good pics.

Simon will you be at battle cry if show we should bring ours in and compare and see if we can improve on the models.

I see you put in the speaker have you heard the sounds they are really shit

I see you bought blue leds also not white lights, look just as bright but white looks a little cleaner.

u painted your landraider yet Lazarus ?

i saw the new shadowsword coming out this month, i'm planning to turn it into RC tank that shoots BBs...

i bought the m3a1 tank but the BB's cannon is too big to fit inside a baneblade.. and the banebalde cannon is too short to project the bb.
