today i spent about 12 hours paint the rest of my Tac squad, I have decided to display these on the new war of the ring bases to make moving them around tornys alot easier.

The base for the bikes is made out of styrene sheets and some sticks i think it came out really nice.

Nice work man, these are coming along very quickly! I spent nearly 4 hours on a single tactical marine today, of course I haven't painted quite as much as yourself, but the part I find hardest is the highlighting, need a real steady hand, which I find some days I just don't have.

Those movement trays look good, nice for display and would make taking them places a lot easier.

The one thing I notice is that there is no Ultramarines insignia, don't like the transfers?

Working on the logos later, need to get some of the stuff that makes them stick down good. just working on painting then worry about that stuff later. I am loving the trays also 10 men take up less room and the look good all packed together it was more for moving them around at tornys so not puting in and out of cases.

It takes me 12hours to do 5 men scout or marine. 24 for a bike and scout

That's all looking good man, the only thing is with all the blue, it might have been cool to make the power swords stick out by making them a different colour, but that's cool if you want it all to match with the Ultra marine blue.

I think the ice blue sticks out alot. There is heaps of blue but its good it makes the red guns and gold stand out better. Most people do black guns now not the old 3rd ed red type

Yeah it does stick out, it is uniform with the rest, I was just thinking of variance, but if you are going to build a Chaos army you can give them contrasting and drastic colour scheme.

Yeah I'm planning to make my Salamanders guns alternating Yellow and Orange just for something a little different, heck, they should all be pretty pro at working on their own guns apparently.

Yeah, I just built both mine last week. Very intricate and I'm trying to convert both of mine. One will have the guys with bolters that come standard with a Multi-melta and the other with CCW's and a Heavy Flamer (which is why I've been asking around for one).
